After 27 years with Sotheby’s International Realty and more than $3 billion in Hamptons real estate sales, Dana Trotter joined The Agency as a Franchise Partner to open its first Hamptons office.

Widely regarded as one of the region’s leading agents, Dana has consistently ranked among the top brokers nationwide in the REAL Trends / Wall Street Journal annual rankings.

In the summer of 2023, she partnered with Agency Founder and CEO Mauricio Umansky and Tyler Whitman of Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing to launch The Agency Hamptons. The Agency is one of the fastest-growing boutique luxury brokerages in the world and has been named Top Luxury Brokerage by Inman.

Dana’s portfolio spans luxury residential sales, rentals, investments, and land opportunities. She has successfully negotiated hundreds of property contracts and acquisitions and continues to represent buyers and sellers with expertise, discretion, and integrity.

Before entering real estate, Dana earned a B.A. in Business Marketing and Accounting from C.W. Post and competed professionally in equestrian events in New York and Palm Beach. A lifelong rider and Hampton Classic competitor since age eight, she still rides her horse, Balou, whenever possible. Dana also serves on the boards of CTREE (Center for Therapeutic Riding on the East End) and the Long Island University Veterinary School, reflecting her enduring passion for horses and community.
