RECORD-BREAKING NEWS!
I am thrilled to report our clients, the sellers, achieved a record-high sale price for the sale of an apartment on Russian Hill! Closing for $14,000,000 – the highest sale ever to be recorded in the SFMLS – the Penthouse at 1080 Chestnut has set a new high watermark for significant apartments in one of the City’s favorite northside neighborhoods.
Coming to the market in 2018 – for the first time in 50 years – the Penthouse at 1080 Chestnut presented a rare opportunity to own one of the City’s most unique and significant pieces of vertical real estate. The 5,500+ square foot co-operative apartment has been described as the best view apartment in the City by many of my colleagues who came to tour throughout it’s time on the market.
Over the course of the marketing period, our team engaged unique partnerships to expose the San Francisco Penthouse to the uniquely specific pool of buyers qualified to purchase such a significant Penthouse. The Penthouse hosted a collection of 30 significant works of art curated by Hackett Mill Gallery, including works by Manuel Neri and Robert Motherwell – which enabled buyers to envision the Penthouse walls as the venue for their prized works.
The Penthouse broke barriers again this spring as it became the host of the first-ever virtual showcase event by Decorator’s Showcase, New Perspectives. Some of the City’s most celebrated designers partnered with Steelblue to bring their visions for the Penthouse to 3D life, reaching a global audience of design enthusiasts.
As a long-time Russian Hill resident and 15-year resident of 1080 Chestnut, it was my sincere honor to represent my neighbors in the marketing and sale of their extraordinary real estate asset. Achieving a record-high sale price amid a challenging market is a humbling achievement.
Congratulations to our clients, and my team, on a successful three-year partnership which closed with a BANG!
The Penthouse at 1080 Chestnut sold for $14,000,000 – the highest sale price of an apartment ever sold on Russian Hill, per the SFMLS.
